Head out to Puna on this Big Island tour and explore Lava Tree State Park where you will walk amongst tree molds created by a 1790 lava flow.
Ride past papaya fields to Kapoho where a 1960 lava flow inundated farm lands and devastated the Kapoho village. Head on to Ahalanui Park and take a dip in a volcanically heated warm pond. Visit Pohoiki Bay where you will find local fisherman and surfers hard at work and play. Cruise along the beautiful Puna coastline to the end of the road at Kalapana where lava has increased Hawaii Island’s landmass and created a new black sand beach.
